HORSES STAY FREE!

Situated in the grounds, the Stables offer a holiday for you and your horse. We have 13 good size boxes, a sand school and tack room. There is ample parking for lorries and trailers.
Your horse comes at no extra cost, apart from any feed or hay you may required. The moors at the top of the lane provide superb hacking with spectacular views from the nearby tors, alternatively there is excellent riding in the nearby Lydford forest and along the many hidden bridal ways that traverse the area. There are a number of local inns which can be passed providing a much needed watering hole for both man and beast alike!! But if you are wanting to grab a bite to eat in the saddle, packed lunches are provided on request.

Maps can be provided on arrival or alternatively if you go to www.ridedartmoor.co.uk and plan and down load your routs from home. We have a number of willing local riders who for a small fee are happy to ride out with your party as a guide.

For those wanting a complete break it is possible to arrange full livery but this must be requested well in advance.

Local accomplished riding instructors are on hand for any wanting to brush up on technique in the school before taking to the open spaces, these lessons must be booked prior to arrival.

Hunting horses can be arranged for experienced riders on a daily hire basis.
